Overview

Este texto surge de la necesidad de dotar a las escuelas de vuelo en ultraligero de un documento de referencia actualizado que sirva como herramienta básica para la formación teórica de los futuros pilotos. Si bien en él se aportan conocimientos generales aplicables a cualquier modalidad de vuelo, su contenido está especialmente adaptado al pilotaje de los tipos de ultraligero más extendidos en la actualidad, como es el ULM multiejes de ala fija (MAF), comúnmente denominado «ULM tres ejes», y el ULM por desplazamiento del centro de gravedad (DCG), más conocido como «ULM pendular».

En el manual se abordan de manera accesible los conocimientos teóricos necesarios para la obtención del título de piloto de ultraligero, para lo que se omiten expresiones y formulaciones complejas prescindibles en este nivel. Su contenido está adaptado a la normativa vigente que regula las licencias de vuelo de ULM en España (Real Decreto 123/2015, de 27 de febrero) y desarrolla las materias obligatorias que debe contener el programa de formación, como son las siguientes: principios del vuelo, conocimiento general de la aeronave, prestaciones, meteorología, procedimientos operacionales, navegación, limitaciones humanas, comunicaciones aeronáuticas y normativa aplicable al vuelo en ultraligero.

Todo ello, con referencia expresa a las maniobras básicas de vuelo y sin olvidar los procedimientos estándar de emergencia que se deben seguir ante las principales contingencias que pudieran ocurrir durante las operaciones.

Además, las explicaciones se combinan con numerosas fotografías e ilustraciones que apoyan la teoría, favorecen la comprensión de los contenidos y aportan un importante valor gráfico a la obra.

Une fable politique, dans la lignée de 1984, sur le contrôle social, la peur du changement et la plus insensée des révolutions. « Bienvenue à Amatka. où chacun joue un rôle, où le langage possède d'étranges propriétés et où rien - pas même la texture de la réalité - ne peut être garanti. » Ainsi se présente Amatka, cette austère colonie antarctique aux ambiances post-soviétiques. Amatka, lieu interdit à la dissidence et aux sentiments, espace exigu où la liberté niche dans les recoins obscurs du langage, est une communauté heureuse mais totalement figée.
Lorsque Vanja, une « assistante d'information », est envoyée en mission là-bas pour y collecter de l'intelligence à des fins gouvernementales, elle comprend rapidement que son séjour qu'elle prévoyait expéditif sera moins routinier qu'envisagé. Et pour cause, le point de bascule n'est jamais très loin dans cette colonie d'hiver, de sorte que Vanja sera amenée à enquêter parmi les ombres d'Amatka, celles qui revendiquent l'insurrection. Jeff Vandermeer, anthologiste du Big Book of Science-Fiction et du recueil The Weird, a considéré ce roman dès le premier instant, louant cette « exploration époustouflante et véritablement originale des mystères du réel et de ce que signifie être humain ».
Fille par les lettres de Margaret Atwood et d'Ursula K. Le Guin (pour son approche sociale des Dépossédés), la suédoise Karin Tidbeck dresse avec Amatka une fable d'anticipation aussi réflexive qu'inventive, s'intéressant davantage aux mécanismes du changement qu'à ses seuls effets. Par son style concis et efficace, elle nous offre le portrait d'une société où les mots, dépouillés jusqu'à l'os de leur polysémie, deviennent à la fois un objet de répression et une arme, et où la communication est au cour des rapports de force.
